I wish you a good Solstice

I wish you a good midwinter celebration. Some people prefer to celebrate it four or five days later when it is clear that the Sun – and winter – has turned, sunlight is getting longer and the summer is on its way. Other still prefer to celebrate the birth of a Nazarite religious/political rebel-rouser – perhaps a religious-political dissident and activist opposed to the – then – current political order. The problem with this is that the birth of the Nazarite was moved to coincide with the previous pagan mid-winter Solstice celebration.
